Biological characteristics

1. The Genus of Bacillus, Gram-positive, Spore-forming; the optimum temperature is 37-45℃; the optimum pH is 6.6-7.0; can survive at the temperatures of 100°C.

2. Can ferment glucose, sucrose, maltose, mannitol, raffinose, trehalose, lactic acid production during fermentation without gas production; Homofermentative, the main fermentation product is L(+) - lactic acid, and a small amount of formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid and ethanol, etc.

3. It can secrete antimicrobial peptide - bacteriostat.

4. D-glucose can be used as germinants to promote the germination of spore into nutrient cell.
